AKC FIELD TRIALS
AKC Field Trials provide a forum for head-to-head competition between spaniels of like breeds. Currently in the USA two breed specific field trial programs are held around the country. This program awards points and ribbons to the top dogs of the day of the trial. Points are accumulated towards earning Field Champion titles and eligibility to compete in the National Championships.
Cocker Spaniel Field Trials are open to both American and English Cockers. These are “Open” trials, meaning both professional and amateur handlers are eligible.
English Springer Spaniel Field Trials are open only to this breed, trials are held for Amateur handlers and for Open (professional and amateur) handlers.
